McDonald’s Moama
Despite the challenges of severe flooding experienced through northern Victoria during the construction program, Mainbrace successfully handed over the new McDonald’s Moama restaurant in late March to a delighted client and franchisee.
Importantly, the restaurant opened just in time for the tourism influx to Moama and Echuca for the annual Southern 80 water-ski race on the Murray River.
McDonald’s put a great deal of consideration into designing the new Moama restaurant to be more practical and efficient. As a consequence, according to General Manager, the store is “very ergonomic” in operation, with shorter distances for people to travel around the kitchen and fewer opportunities for crossover on the floor, meaning fewer people walking through other stations and around other people.
From filling sandbags with locals to assist with the flooding efforts, parking his caravan within the site compound for a couple of weeks as all accommodation in the local area was closed, and even helping a local kangaroo find his way off the site, Lachie went over and above the call of duty to ensure a quality outcome for McDonald’s.
