QLD State Update

Making strides in the sunshine state

Our Queensland team continues to make strides, building momentum across both retail construction and logistics sectors.

The success we’ve experienced through our Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) team continues to be a standout, with clients recognising the value of collaborating to deliver high-quality results with minimal disruption.

Two good examples are our current projects in Kenmore Village and Coles Milton Village. Both are complex, staged projects in operational shopping centres, procured through ECI.  Detailed planning coupled with deep retail knowledge allows us to execute logistically challenging work on time and within budget while minimising impact to existing tenants and the public.

In addition to our retail focus, we are expanding our footprint in logistics. Following the successful completion of a 10,000m² logistics facility in Wakerley for one of our valued clients, we’ve commenced work on another 10,000m² facility in Stapylton for an international client under a design and construct arrangement. We can also support our clients with capex works in their existing logistics facilities to ensure they continue to operate smoothly or welcome new tenants.

A significant update is the merger of our Interiors and Supermarket Refurbishment teams into a new division, now known as Small Works. This consolidation streamlines communication with a single point of contact, while maintaining the personal & efficient service you’ve come to expect. This new division has already secured six new projects, ranging from $350K to $2.2M.

With increased focus on sustainability over the last few years, we are proud to announce that our $20M Woolworths Mountview project has achieved Green Star accreditation. Building capability and expertise to help projects secure these accreditations is an important step in combatting climate change.

Lastly, we’re celebrating a major milestone within our team as Dave Hayter marks 20 years with Mainbrace. Dave’s journey from Contracts Administrator to Senior Project Manager has been integral to our success, particularly, more recently, in driving our ECI team.

We’re excited about the continued growth of our Queensland team and look forward to delivering more outstanding projects in both the retail and logistics sectors.
