Happy Retirement Scotty

Greg started with Mainbrace in 1995 and became our Managing Director in 2001. Under his watch the team and company grew significantly, and importantly recruited much of our current senior team. His steady hand steered our ship through the GFC, ensuring we came out of it a stronger team. In 2012, he stepped down into his current position – Operations Director where his input has been immeasurable. There isn’t an aspect of the Mainbrace we know and love that Scotty hasn’t helped inspire.

For almost 30 years he has been a mentor, supporter and confidante for everyone at Mainbrace. He embodies our values, striving for excellence with integrity and passion, leading by example and always pitching in as an integral member of the team.

Following a ‘last hurrah’ in both Victoria and Queensland, on Friday, 28th June, we celebrated Scotty’s remarkable career with a well-deserved party. It was a fantastic gathering of our NSW team, along with ex-employees, clients, consultants, and subcontractors who have worked closely with Greg over the years. This event was a wonderful opportunity to honour Scotty, thank him for his contributions, and wish him all the best in this next exciting chapter of his life.

Scotty has had an incredible career in the construction industry, and his reputation is something we are immensely proud of. His influence is deeply embedded in the DNA of Mainbrace, and the legacy he leaves behind will inspire for years to come.

As we celebrate Scotty’s remarkable career in construction, we also rejoice in the exciting and well-deserved phase of life awaiting him. May retirement bring endless joy, new adventures, and the fulfillment of dreams long deferred!
