Harpley Town Centre
Building a bright future in Werribee's heart
Harpley is a new master planned community being created in a key growth corridor at Werribee, around 35km south-west of Melbourne CBD. Mainbrace was awarded the Design and Construct tender to deliver the community’s new neighbourhood centre in late 2022.
The neighbourhood centre is one of the largest retail construction projects Mainbrace has undertaken in Victoria and it’s great to be extending our relationship with client Eildon Capital and project manager Artro Management, replicating the team we worked with to deliver the award-winning Caboolture Shopping Village in Queensland.
On site at present, the team is preparing for the pouring of the suspended slab for Coles to enable the pre-cast for the new supermarket to go up. This is on track to occur in October.
Elsewhere, the Dan Murphy’s store is taking shape with the pre-cast having been erected, while in-ground services to the carpark area are progressing to schedule.
Harpley Town Centre will serve as the heart of the new Harpley estate. To be anchored by a Coles supermarket of approximately 4,500sqm, it will also feature around 12 specialty stores, Dan Murphy’s, community amenities including a childcare centre and gym, associated external works and services, and an underground carpark. We’re working to a 48-week program.
The centre will have a sustainable identity, with an extensive solar PV installation on the Coles supermarket and Dan Murphy’s roofs, and recycled water used for irrigation to the garden beds and for toilet flushing.
