Hervey Bay Home is now complete
Six weeks early!
Thanks to the hard work done before starting on site and the dedication our team showed during construction, we are proud to announce our Hervey Bay Home project reached completion six weeks ahead of schedule.
Secured under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement with BWP Trust in late 2022, our local market knowledge and retail construction experience proved invaluable. Partnering with key services, structural, and major finishing trades during this period allowed us to explore all appropriate value engineering items with the Client and their nominated design team. This ensured the project’s financial viability and readiness for a seamless construction start.
Construction began in July 2023. Located next to the new Bunnings store, which Mainbrace completed in 2022, this project involved the partial demolition, extension, and conversion of the old Bunnings Warehouse into a Large Format Retail Building with tenancies for Amart, Rebel, Super Cheap Auto, and BCF.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the team-maintained momentum, enabling tenant fit outs to commence 12 weeks ahead of schedule, with Amart handed over seven weeks early. Consequently, three out of the four tenants opened their stores before the end of the financial year, much to everyone’s delight.
The final product has received extremely positive feedback from the client, reflecting our successful delivery process. It stands as a great example of why we love ECI projects so much and why we think they yield the best results for all stakeholders involved.
