NSW State Update 2026

A look at what's been happening across NSW

Projects Delivered

Recent completions have spanned a solid mix of clients and sectors, McDonald’s, Woolworths, Coles, Harvey Norman, Scentre Group, Region Group, Sephora, Big W, HomeCo and Stockland among them.

What we hear consistently from clients is that the teams are professional, easy to work with, and deliver to a high standard. That’s what we’re here to do, and it’s good to hear.

Projects in Delivery

More than 20 live projects are currently underway across the state.

Construction teams are active on Coles Bingara Village, Guzman y Gomez Gregory Hills, Fife Capital Eastern Creek, Alspec Warehouse, Woolworths Melonba and ongoing works at Sydney Airport. Small Works teams are running concurrent projects including The Woolstore in Glebe, Penrite at Wetherill Park, Coles Waratah and Spotlight Rutherford.

These jobs span metropolitan Sydney, key growth corridors and regional centres, each at a different stage, each with its own requirements. Keeping a consistent standard across that spread is where focus stays.

Safety Across Every Site

Safety isn’t a box we tick at the start of a project, it shapes how we plan, sequence and run every site.

Our recent “Teaming Up for Safety Leadership” sessions, held across NSW, QLD and VIC, brought together project teams and subcontractor partners to align expectations and strengthen shared accountability. When everyone on a site is genuinely invested, not just briefed – it changes how the job runs. That’s the culture these sessions are designed to reinforce.

Early Contractor Involvement

When builders are part of the conversation early, the path to delivery tends to be better defined and smoother with fewer surprises, better sequencing, and decisions made with the right input at the right time.

Our work on the Birdwood Road Logistics project is a good example  where cost planning, design coordination and buildability input were all resolved well before site commencement. Fewer surprises at the start means better outcomes at the end.

Recognising Our People

We recently celebrated our 37th Annual Awards Dinner. Always a great night, and a chance to recognise the people who make Mainbrace what it is.

Alongside peer-nominated recognition for those who embody the Go Beyond spirit, the evening marked significant milestones in tenure, nine team members reaching 10 years, five reaching 15, three reaching 25, and one reaching 30.

Thirty years with the same business. That depth of knowledge shows up on projects in the quality of decisions made, and the judgement behind them.

Looking Ahead

As the financial year draws to a close, momentum across NSW remains steady. The focus is where it always is, on consistent delivery, strong coordination, and finishing every project the way it was promised.
