Project Completion | 262 Liverpool Street

March 2022

After almost 2 years our NSW Construction team, working with Cornerstone Property Group, has successfully handed over ‘Yirranma Place’ at 262 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst to the Paul Ramsay Foundation.

This was a one-of-a-kind project. Almost 100 years after The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sydney opened, our NSW Construction division took on the challenge of transforming this heritage listed building into a precinct for social purpose and home for organisations and social enterprises working to break cycles of disadvantage.

The project is every builder’s dream, as it incorporated all elements of a complex construction. With the original structure undisturbed, a further three levels were introduced above the Grand Hall including a rooftop terrace looking out to the City as well as a basement carpark below the old Sunday School which is accessed off Forbes Street.

During the project Mainbrace was also awarded the integrated fit out. This was completed in conjunction with the original contract works.

The detail in the restoration of this heritage building is evident in the photos below, with even the organ being restored to its former glory.

Despite the complexities, we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Or more proud to have been involved.
