The Charlestown Square project alterations and additions to the existing shopping centre involved the re-configuration of the mall public areas and the creation of three new mini major and specialty tenancies and the addition of a new floor level built above the operating centre.
Special features of the project included:
– Numerous new tenancies including, Coles, ALDI, H&M and Cotton On
– Working in an existing trading centre to provide a new floor level constructed above the centre while keeping Coles trading below
– Extensive staging and buildability methodology to allow the centre to function including replacing and relocating all plant rooms and still keeping essential services operating at all times
Mainbrace worked closely with DJRD Architects and TTW structural engineers to develop the design and resolve coordination issues.
