QLD State Update 2026
A look at what's been happening across Queensland
It’s been a busy few months across Queensland, with a varied pipeline keeping teams across the state fully committed.
Delivery Across Active Sites
Three neighbourhood centres are currently progressing concurrently across the region, alongside Harvey Norman Ballina moving towards completion.
Ballina has had its share of extended wet weather, the kind that disrupts access, reshuffles sequencing and tests any program. The team has kept things moving through careful planning and on-site adaptability, holding delivery to key milestones without losing continuity.
Projects are also underway for McDonald’s, Woolworths, Coles, Mirvac and Region Group across Queensland.
Safety Across Every Site
Safety isn’t a box we tick at the start of a project, it shapes how we plan, sequence and run every site.
Our recent “Teaming Up for Safety Leadership” sessions, held across NSW, QLD and VIC, brought together project teams and subcontractor partners to align expectations and strengthen shared accountability. When everyone on a site is genuinely invested, not just briefed, it changes how the job runs. That’s the culture these sessions are designed to reinforce.
Industry Connection
Staying connected to the property and construction sector matters to us, not just for what we learn, but for the conversations we can contribute to.
We were proud to sponsor the Property Council of Australia’s Retail Conference as the PCA’s Retail Partner, with our Chief Information Officer, Angus Greenwood delivering a keynote on the factors shaping today’s delivery environments. Supporting the retail sector and being part of the discussions that move it forward is something we genuinely care about.
Recognising Our People
We recently celebrated our 37th Annual Awards Dinner. Always a great night, and a chance to recognise the people who make Mainbrace what it is.
Alongside peer-nominated recognition for those who embody the Go Beyond spirit, the evening marked significant milestones in tenure, nine team members reaching 10 years, five reaching 15, three reaching 25, and one reaching 30.
Thirty years with the same business. That depth of knowledge shows up on projects in the quality of decisions made, and the judgement behind them.
Looking Ahead
As the financial year draws to a close, momentum across QLD remains steady. The focus is where it always is, on consistent delivery, strong coordination, and finishing every project the way it was promised.
