QLD State Update

Building on momentum

Our Queensland team continues to go from strength to strength, really building on the momentum from the strong start to the year.

The success we are getting through our Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects continues to grow. Our open, collaborative approach is proving its worth, as clients increasingly recognise the benefits of a well-executed ECI. We love delivering ECI projects, and truly believe they are the best way to get the best results for all involved. Some examples of recently completed and started ECI projects:

Re-purposing the former Bunnings store into a bulky goods retail space for Client BWP Trust, handing over the Hervey Bay Home retail construction project six weeks ahead of schedule in mid-May.

Our Pallara Shopping Village project commenced on site in mid-March after an eight-month ECI journey with our client. This project includes a new full-line supermarket and specialty shops, with completion expected in March 2025.

In April, we started the major demolition and refurbishment of Milton Village, transforming the existing centre into a new small-format supermarket and additional commercial space, set for completion in November 2025.

Our Supermarket Refurbishment team has secured and commenced our largest Coles refurbishment project, valued at nearly $6 million. The project in Caloundra is due for completion towards the end of the year and once finished will see a complete store renewal, services upgrade and six new click and collect bays.

We’re also celebrating a significant milestone within our team. Daryl McGrath, our Operations Manager, has reached his 20-year anniversary with Mainbrace. Since relocating to QLD from NSW in 2017, his dedication and leadership have been instrumental to our success.

We’re excited for what the rest of the year holds for us and look forward to bringing the news of more successfully completed retail construction projects.
