Simon Etheridge, VIC Estimating Manager
Long before a project reaches site, there are decisions being made around cost, methodology and how the job will ultimately come together.
As Victoria’s Estimating Manager, Simon is involved at that early stage, overseeing tendering, cost planning and Early Contractor Involvement across the state.
His approach is to keep learning from every tender, including the ones Mainbrace doesn’t win. The team reviews what happened, what they could do differently and what they can take into the next opportunity.
Simon brings that same approach to developing the people around him, taking an active role in mentoring cadets as they build their experience in estimating. In 2024, he was named our Victorian Employee of the Year.
For Simon, there’s always something to take from one project or tender into the next.
