Woolworths Austral South
A genuine asset for a fast growing suburb
We’re well past the halfway mark on Woolworths Austral South, with completion on track for November, well ahead of the Christmas trading period. It’s a project that will become a genuine asset for a suburb growing as fast as Austral.
The Centre will include a full-format Woolworths, BWS, specialty tenancies, a medical centre, and commercial offices, 9,473sqm in total, sitting within Sydney’s south-west growth area.
The project was secured through an Early Contractor Involvement process, which meant that by the time construction started, the design had already been stress-tested against real market costs, programme risks were identified early, and Fabcot had certainty on price before committing. That groundwork is paying off on site now.
The final level one suspended slab pour is now underway. Structural steel is well advanced, the loading dock is complete and steel is progressing through level one and the Woolworths store. The carpark is moving into base layer installation with all in-ground services done, and external roadworks are on track for final asphalt later this month.
